The Bachelor’s Degree Programme in International Business and Analytics at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences prepares students for dynamic careers in the global business environment, with a focus on international business studies and data analytics, equipping students with the skills to harness the power of data in driving business decisions and strategies.
In the first year of study, students are introduced to various aspects of business administration through basic studies. During the second and third year of studies, the students will study 45 ECTS of professional major Business Analytics. Additionally, students can choose courses related to other business fields as elective courses from e.g. finance, marketing, supply chain management, human resource and strategic management. The international students will study at least 20 ECTS of Finnish language according to their study plan.
It is possible that part of the studies will be arranged bilingually (Finnish-English).

Programme Structure
The programme spans over three and a half years, integrating business studies with specialized courses in analytics. You will earn a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree upon completion, with a total of 210 ECTS credits.

At the end of your studies, you will further strengthen your professional expertise in a work placement and with the help of your bachelor’s thesis.
Wider View Through Exchange Abroad
Since we are a truly international business school, we encourage IBA students to go on student exchange or work placement abroad. You may choose your study exchange destination from over 60 partner universities we have all around the world. Study or work experience in another country will give you a wider perspective on international business and improve your cross-cultural knowledge. It is also possible to apply for a double degree programme, which allows you to gain two degrees, one in Metropolia and another in one of our double degree partner universities in Europe.
Metropolia School of Business is active in e.g. Erasmus+, Nordplus and bilateral student exchange programmes. Teacher, staff and student exchanges are based on these exchange agreements between partner institutions. Please note that many agreements are renewed during 2022 and the list will be updated accordingly.
Metropolia students have the possibility to participate short- and long-term student exchanges in the different exchange programmes. In the degree programmes of European Business Administration, as well as in the programme of International Business and Logistics there are also several Double Degree opportunities.

Campus
For the time being, business studies are held at Metropolia’s Myyrmäki campus, but it is likely that the reorganization of the premises, which will start in 2026, will lead to the possibility of moving the studies to the Myllypuro campus.
