BECOME AN EXPERT OF ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
A combination of three engineering degrees:
• Electrical
• Mechanical
• ICT / Robotics (Focus)
The Mechatronics specialisation in engineering provides you with in-depth knowledge of structures for devices, equipment and systems which are essential part of our modern lives.
What do you find intriguing? Is it the evolving world of technology and the endless possibilities to create a better future? The Mechatronics specialisation in engineering provides you with in-depth knowledge of structures for devices, equipment and systems, which are essential part of our modern lives.
Mechatronics engineering is a multidisciplinary branch focusing traditionally on the engineering of both electrical and mechanical systems. The focus in our degree programme is on machine automation. The modern concept of mechatronics includes a combination of automation, robotics, smart operating devices, and hardware-oriented programming as well as controlling systems and mechanical engineering in order to produce design solutions unifying the subfields and to create smart systems.
The degree programme contains the elements of engineering in a blended way. You will be mentored and guided in a way to allow you to combine the understanding of basic studies (e.g. applied mathematics, natural sciences, communication and project management) and professional studies (e.g. automation, robotics, construction design, mechanical engineering) to understand entities and manage projects in an efficient and economical way. You will complete your degree with elective studies, practical training and Bachelor’s thesis.
Studies are carried out in English in a multicultural group of students in close cooperation with working life.

Automation and Robotics
One of the hallmark applications of mechatronics is in the realm of automation and robotics. Studying mechatronics equips students with the knowledge and skills to design and implement automated systems, ranging from manufacturing processes to smart homes. As industries increasingly embrace automation for enhanced precision and efficiency, mechatronics professionals play a crucial role in advancing the capabilities of robotic systems.
Interconnected Systems Understanding
Mechatronics emphasises the integration of various components into interconnected systems. This holistic approach ensures that students not only master individual engineering disciplines but also develop a profound understanding of how these components interact. This interconnected system understanding is vital in the design and optimisation of complex systems where mechanical, electronic, and computational elements collaborate seamlessly.
